Brands Owned by Estée Lauder: The Full List

The Ordinary’s clinical minimalism, Jo Malone’s British-luxury image and MAC’s makeup artistry appear to have little in common. Financially, they share a parent: The Estée Lauder Companies.

Estée Lauder sells more than 20 prestige brands across roughly 150 countries and reported $14.32 billion in fiscal 2025 sales. Understanding that portfolio matters to shoppers tracking animal testing, supply chains or parent-company conduct.

The complete Estée Lauder brand portfolio

The company’s official portfolio lists:

  • AERIN Beauty
  • Aramis
  • Aveda
  • Balmain Beauty
  • Bobbi Brown Cosmetics
  • Bumble and bumble
  • Clinique
  • Darphin Paris
  • DECIEM
  • Dr.Jart+
  • Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle
  • Estée Lauder
  • GLAMGLOW
  • Jo Malone London
  • KILIAN PARIS
  • La Mer
  • Lab Series
  • Le Labo
  • MAC Cosmetics
  • NIOD
  • Origins
  • Smashbox
  • The Ordinary
  • TOM FORD
  • Too Faced

DECIEM is the parent operation behind The Ordinary and NIOD. Estée Lauder acquired the remaining equity interest in DECIEM in May 2024, making the relationship full ownership rather than a minority investment.

Does Estée Lauder own Tom Ford?

Estée Lauder acquired the TOM FORD business in 2023. The structure is unusual: Estée Lauder directly controls the beauty business and acts as licensor for fashion, accessories and eyewear operated with partners.

That means “Estée Lauder owns Tom Ford” is broadly correct, but the products shoppers encounter may be produced through different operating arrangements.

Brands Estée Lauder no longer operates

Ownership lists become stale quickly. Estée Lauder discontinued BECCA in 2021 and ended several designer-fragrance licenses in 2022, including Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan New York, DKNY, Michael Kors and Ermenegildo Zegna.

A licensed fragrance is not the same thing as owning the designer label. The company’s investor FAQ maintains a useful acquisition and discontinuation history.

Are Estée Lauder brands cruelty-free?

This question requires two answers: the policy of the individual brand and the policy of the parent company.

Some brands market themselves around vegan ingredients or avoiding animal testing. However, a shopper may also care that the purchase generates revenue for a parent company operating a wider portfolio and selling across markets with different regulatory requirements.

Mashinii’s current Estée Lauder ethics profile scores -50 on Kind to Animals. It also records +50 on Honest & Fair Business, +30 on Planet-Friendly Business and +20 on Fair Pay & Worker Respect, alongside negative scores for communities, technology safety and waste.

This is why a single “cruelty-free” badge cannot describe the entire company. Product ingredients, finished-product testing, supplier testing, market access and parent ownership are different questions.

What shoppers should check

Before treating a beauty brand as independent, check:

  1. the legal manufacturer on the packaging;
  2. the brand’s current parent company;
  3. whether its animal-testing policy covers suppliers and third parties;
  4. whether it sells in markets with different testing rules;
  5. whether your concern is the product itself or the parent company receiving the revenue.

For wider context, explore our cruelty-free stocks analysis, the Kind to Animals ranking, or search another company.
