M&G has committed approximately £2.065 billion to initiatives aimed at low-income, SME, or micro-segments.

This includes £1 billion planned for UK affordable homes, regeneration, and infrastructure , £130 million for the UK Social Investment Fund , $850 million for the Catalyst Growth Equity Fund , $120 million for the Global Gender-Smart Fund , €107 million for the European Fund for Southeast Europe , and $75 million for the Vivriti India Retail Asset Fund. These commitments, totaling approximately £2.065 billion, represent about 0.60% of M&G's total Assets Under Management of £343.5 billion as of December 31, 2023.

Honest & Fair Business

M&G PLC incurred approximately $175,817.5 (£140,654) in regulatory fines over the past three years (2023-2025) for telecommunications, labour standards, and pension plan violations.

The company is a signatory to the UN Global Compact, committing to anti-corruption principles. It maintains a Financial Crime Framework, a no-tolerance approach to financial crime, and a policy on combatting bribery that references the UK Bribery Act 2010 and applies to suppliers. A Group Financial Crime Compliance team oversees and supports regional teams with the establishment and maintenance of systems and controls globally.

No War, No Weapons

M&G, as an investment manager, does not derive revenue from arms or defense contracts, and its board oversees general ESG matters rather than a defense business. However, public records indicate M&G holds $310 million in shares of BAE Systems, a company involved in nuclear weapons production, directly contradicting a claim of zero exposure to controversial weapons.

Despite this, M&G's investment policies explicitly exclude controversial weapons and arms, with an aim to divest from companies breaching its exclusion policy within 5 business days of disclosure. The company's Controversial Weapons Policy codifies bans on investment in companies involved in a comprehensive list of controversial weapons, including cluster munitions, anti-personnel landmines, chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons (outside NPT), depleted uranium, incendiary white phosphorus, non-detectable fragments, and permanently blinding laser weapons. M&G also screens companies for breaches of the UN Global Compact principles and has updated its Supplier Code of Conduct as part of its commitment under the UN Global Compact.
