Kenmare Resources' core mining and processing operations do not use toxic chemicals, resulting in a neutral direct health impact from its principal goods.

Through its Kenmare Moma Development Association (KMAD), the company allocated 29.87% of KMAD's total funds in 2024 to health infrastructure and water/sanitation projects, including a state-of-the-art clinical analysis laboratory. KMAD provides health services to the approximately 45,000 people in affected localities, with the Topuito Health Centre laboratory serving over 20,000 people. However, some boreholes provided by KMAD have water quality issues with levels of nitrates, faecal coliforms, and iron above WHO limits. The company identifies and mitigates potential negative health externalities like increased HIV prevalence. Support for the healthcare workforce is basic, with 6 out of 12 volunteers completing a five-month training program in 2024, and only 7 active from an original 20 trained volunteers. KMAD undertakes extensive health education, including 951 communication campaigns reaching 18,595 people on various health topics such as COVID-19 prevention, malaria, and family planning. The company demonstrates a strong emphasis on preventative health measures through these campaigns, provision of clean water, and malaria prevention programs. KMAD's programs promote health equity by focusing on women's involvement and providing scholarships for vulnerable families. Kenmare Resources published a Climate Strategy Report in 2021, which is aligned with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

The company also reported a 12% reduction in emissions, though the scope of these emissions was unspecified. Kenmare publishes annual Sustainability Reports, Sustainability Fact Books, Climate Strategy Reports, and KMAD Annual Reports. Reports are available for 2020 through 2024.
